Wikipedia
Wikipedia
is an encyclopedia that gives you the option of re-writing
history or simply reading about it. It is a free,
online "open
content" encyclopedia which simply means
it is an encyclopedia that anyone can use or help create.
For this reason, it may not always contain accurate
information. However, the entries we've viewed are generally
written well and with authority (perhaps because they
tend to be written by a person who is interested in
the topic). They also might include information edited
out of conventional encyclopedias. Keywords in the encyclopedia
are linked to other entries, which is handy. And with
over 141,000 English listings and counting not
to mention
listings and indexes in other languages you'll
probably find something about the topic you are looking
for. If you carry a handheld computer or own a Windows
PC, you
can even download a free copy of the encyclopedia for
personal use. Thanks to Stephen Houpis who shared
this link with FIRE and others on the Rolling
Thunder Listserv.
