Grants.gov
At long last, there
is a single source on the web that serves applicants for government grants,
benefits and contracts. Last month, the US Department of Health and Human Services
(which accounts for more than half of all government grantmaking) unveiled the
new Grants.gov cross-agency site. Together,
the US agencies award more than $360 billion in grant funds.
Grants.gov has information about hundreds
of available grant programs involving all 26 federal grantmaking
agencies. In addition, the site can be used to register
for government contracts, download grant applications, and register
to receive notifications of grant opportunities.
